PRODUCT SAFETY & CARE

CANDLE CARE

All of our scented candles are hand poured just  for you. To keep them looking and working their  best and safest, follow our tips to enjoy a purer  scent experience and maintain their high quality  aroma for longer.

HOW TO BURN YOUR CANDLE

• Light your candle in a well-ventilated room,  away from drafts or fans, which can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel), or  rapid, uneven burning.

• Allow your candle to burn for one and a half  to two hours at a time or until the wax has  pooled to the edges. Burning for less time  can cause the candle to 'tunnel', which leaves a build-up of wax around the vessel's  sides and can reduce the maximum burn  time.

• Be aware that burning for longer periods  (over four hours) can cause a candles wick to  move, or slant. • Make sure you stop burning your candle  when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom,  keeping an eye on a burning candle when  the wax is low.

CARING FOR YOUR WICKS

• It is extremely important to keep the wax  pool clear of debris, such as wick trimmings  or matches, as any foreign particles in the  wax can act as a secondary wick,  encouraging your candle to burn faster.

• After extinguishing the flame with a snuffer,  centre and straighten the wick. Burning for  too long can cause the wick to move, or  slant. If you see a flaming wick come close  to the vessel wall, extinguish the flame and  straighten the wick to prevent the vessel  from cracking.

• Long, or crooked wicks can create high  flames, smoking, or sooting. Trimming the  wick to 5mm, following every burn (when  the wax has set) is the easiest way to  prevent this and keeps your candle safe to  use. WARNING

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.  Always keep candles away  from children and pets.

BURNING TIMES

• Small Candle (75g) 12-15 hrs burn time

• Medium Candle ( 165g) - approx 30hrs burn  time

• Large Candle (220g) approx 40hrs burn  time

• Townhouse Tin (170g) - approx 30-32hrs  burn time

NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.

Do not place on polished, painted or plastic surfaces. Keep away from children and  pets.  Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. People suffering from perfume sensitivity should  be cautious when using this product. Always wear  protective gloves when handling this product,  may cause an allergic skin reaction. IF IN EYES  rinse continuously with water for several  minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and  easy to do. Continue rinsing. Always  read the label and instructions enclosed fully  before using this product

WAX MELT SAFETY
Wax melts should only be used in appropriate wax melt burners. Add 1-2 cubes depending on size of the well of burner. Do not over fill the wax melt burner initially as wax will spill over. If wax remains in the burner bowl after use and you wish to remove it, wait until the wax cools and hardens, then apply a small amount of gentle pressure on one end of the wax until it pops out. Do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury.

WAX WARMER/BURNER GUIDANCE

TEALIGHT BURNER

• Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it when lit.
• Remove all packaging before use.
• Only use with a good quality tea-light. Do not use with a maxi tea-light, votive or other candle.
• Keep the Wax Melt Burner and tea-light out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not burn the tea-light or leave the wax melt burner on or near anything that can catch fire.
• Ensure the wax melt burner is well ventilated. There must be at least 6.5cm of space above the flame within the wax melt burner.
• Keep foreign objects out of the wax pool.
• The wax melt burner becomes very hot during use, do not touch or move whilst alight or whilst wax remains molten.
• Extinguish the tea-light if the flame becomes enlarged, makes contact with the wax melt burner, or begins to smoke.
• Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Once extinguished allow wax melt burner to cool before moving.

ELECTRIC WARMER
• Never leave an electric wax melt burner unattended whilst in use.
• Remove all packaging before use.
• Keep the electric wax melt burner out of the reach of children and pets.
• Please ensure you place on a level surface and do not leave the electric wax melt burner on or near anything that can catch fire.
• Ensure the electric wax melt burner is well ventilated.
• The electric wax melt burner becomes very hot during use, do not touch or move whilst turned on or whilst wax remains molten.

Direction for Use for both burners:
• Place the burner on a level, flat, cool, heat resistant surface away from other heat sources and flammable objects. If used on a non-heat resistant surface damage may occur if the electric wax melt burner is used without a protective plate, tray or similar product.
• Place your wax cubes in the centre of the wax well.
• Plug in the electric wax melt burner and switch it on/Place tealight in burner and light
• Do not touch while in use, heated wax can cause burns. Allow the burner to cool completely before touching or moving.
• Do not allow the pool of wax to completely evaporate so the top bowl becomes dry whilst the burner is in use. This could cause the burner to char/discolour.
• Switch off the electric wax melt burner and unplug from the mains when not in use.
• If wax remains in the bowl after use and you wish to remove the wax, wait until the wax cools and hardens, then whilst using protective gloves apply a small amount of gentle pressure on one end of the wax to pop the wax out.
• DO NOT USE METAL OBJECTS TO CLEAN OUT THE WAX. DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE PRESSURE WHEN CLEANING OR REMOVING WAX. THIS MAY CRACK AND DAMAGE THE BURNER. DO NOT PLACE THE BURNER IN A FREEZER.
• ALL BURNERS BECOME HOT DURING USE. ONLY USE ON A HEAT RESISTANT SURFACE. IF UNSURE USE A PROTECTIVE PLATE, TRAY OR SIMILAR PRODUCT.
